Proverbs 31 Woman

Now, I can't resist this story - we are sitting in church this past Sunday, right next to Mr. Brian (first mistake!!! Just picking, Mr. Brian!!!) and our pastor is preaching on the Proverbs 31 woman (Ugh, at first I was worried - a Mother's Day sermon on the Proverbs 31 woman!! But he did a super job on it and it was quite encouraging) ok, so here we are sitting in our row and our pastor says, "What makes a woman beautiful?" It was a rhetorical question - we WEREN'T supposed to answer but Mr. Brian leans over to our oldest (age 12) and says, "Makeup!!" At the time we were oblivious to this, but Micah brought it up at lunch - he was smiling and said, "Hey, you know what Mr. Brian said during church?" So, the lesson is - sit FAR, FAR AWAY from Mr. Brian during church - oh yes, and the second lesson?? Wear Makeup Girls!!! :)

Though I know our true beauty comes from God, I still don't leave my house without it! LOL! ; )

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who refuses to be seen outside of my house without make up!

Why is it that guys look fine without it? Sigh. It's so hard being a girl. :D

I hardly ever wear make up. In Europe that is not odd! It is sometimes hard for me to remeber to put it on when I'm in the USA!I think beauty comes from God, and I never leave the house with out Him!

You know that's my problem (amongst too many others to mention). I can't possibly stay quiet and keep a straight face in church with the comments hubby and I discuss... And we DO go to church on occassion.
I know, G_d hears everything. Wonder if he reads my blog? Big trouble coming my way. Oy. Must go put make up on now.
Funny post.

Are you saying that make-up is NOT what makes a woman beautiful?????
Then what is it?

LOL I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've worn makeup, I just wasn't interested while a teen. Now I don't seem to have the time! :)

So do others think I am bad or not. By the sound of things most agree about the make up comment.
Am I off the hook????

Hmmm - since they agreed on this one, maybe I should share other Mr. Brian stories and see if they still agree?!?!?! :)

That sounds like something Greg would do. I usually have to get him to quite down.

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
