Today I give you some pictures of Caleb and Aaron marching:

Caleb is smack in the middle of this picture - with the large sax.

Caleb again but from a distance.

Aaron plays the trombone - second from the end.

Love to hear them play!!

And one of the girls after three days of street scrubbing and today's VERY warm temps! I think they were finally DONE!

I am so proud to be her momma!
Happy Birthday Sweet Jada - 5 years old!

Mother Love

I wish I had enough words to tell you about my mom. Nope - not enough room here but let me tell you - it is her birthday today and she deserves FAR more than I can afford to buy her as a gift.

My mom has been a cheerleader for me - she has encouraged and been there when I needed her.

She has been the same for my kids - all of my kids think Grandma is WAY up there in the books! (And she is - they are spot-on!) She has gone the extra mile for each of our kids - we see it all the time - I love her and my Dad for that.

But I have to tell you what sticks out to me the most - when we got Jada and doubted what we were doing - she never waivered - she told us to keep loving on her and then did what she could to be there to support us. She has reminded us over and over that when it is time - and Jada is ready - she WILL make progress.

I sent her an idea of a weighted blanket - she made it and shipped it out here - all 15 lbs of it!! I sent her little pizzas and oreos patterns that would help Jada practice buttoning and she had them out here in no time so Jada could begin working on them. All of those things would have been costly for us to purchase, so she just made them all for us and made sure Jada had them to use. My Dad and Mom came out to watch our kids for us and brought with them a large monitor so Jada could enjoy playing on the computer - even with limited vision.

The list truly goes on and on - even the day I called her to share what the doctor had said about Jada's diagnosis - her words were, "I don't believe it yet and I will keep praying."

She is a strong woman that stands behind her kids and her grandkids - and, most importantly, covers them all in prayer. I'm praising God for her today on her birthday - thank you Mom - I Love You!!
When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
