This is MANY years ago - pre-Chloe, but it makes me smile everytime!!! I think Joe and I look like we are shell shocked!!! (We were!!!)
Yep, we'd go out in public with our three little guys and we heard it all:
"Are you Catholic?" "Do you know how that happens??" "Don't you have cable tv?!!" "Don't you ever leave her alone??" We now know WHAT NOT to say to others!!!

OOOO . . . cute!! My mom could probably relate - six under six. Uff daa to you both. The good Lord knew I needed some space and put a few years between ours. Guess He knew you could handle it. Great pic~
I remember those shell-shocked days! And yet we were ALL over Grand Rapids with all our kids! Those were good times! Have a great holiday weekend!
Love it!! You guys look rather proud of those precious boys to me.
I love it. I love the neru (isn't that what they were called) collar on Joe's shirt. LOL. You big baby makin machines. ; ) Have a great weekend.
And Stef, SHARE the comment. LOL, or at least email it over here too... ; )
Anyone who is with-it enough to find matching shirts for three boys is doing OK in my book! I think I've had your hairdo and earrings and the whole shebang...
But seriously, are you Catholic and does he ever leave you alone? Kidding. Sorta.
I love this picture!!!
My is the oldest of 6 - all born 1-2 years apart. Zany mahem most of the time, but still had fun. His Uncle and Aunt had 9 children. In all, his grandparents had 22 grandchildren.
And yes, they were Catholic then. :)

Happy, happy family...just a little incomplete at that point : )

Geez...are you channelling my life, or what?
I have a fam pix that looks just like that (not matching shirts, but coordinating!) Three boys in four years, and we heard "every" comment ever conceived (pun intended!)...
10 years later, we have a little princess from China (AND we live in the GR area!)
Good post -- brings back great memories!
Great picture! People do make such dumb comments, don't they?
Oh c'mon people.....it figures I would be the one to just say it....
Joe looks like the cat that just swallowed the canary and Becky looks like she want's to say....If you want to have sex one more time with me I'm gonna kill you! lol
Yes...they are a beautiful family and I love Joe and Becky, but you guys know that it is hilarious!
Some of us girls were just talking about that last night. Many people have a hard time understanding those of us with larger families.
I love it! It's too adorable!
I think you all look BEAUTIFUL!
You and Joe also look a little sleep devrived too, maybe?
I love you guys and your whole big bunch!!!!!
Keep havin' and adopting kids as long as you want...you guys ROCK!!
It is amazing what people will say. And so as not to put myself in that category I am just saying....great photo.
Great picture! The boys look so adoreable in their matching shirts!
That picture is just too cute! I love it when siblings match. I don't have any kids of my own, but I have been known to buy matching outfits for my friends kids. I wonder if they will look back one day and think they look cheesy. For now they just look adorable. Thanks for sharing the picture. They are so darling.
That is adorable! Love the matching outfits. I do that sometimes to my kids, and my husband just groans.
I completely get the large family thing. Growing up, I had 1 younger brother and 4 younger sisters. People always asked if we were Catholic too. (No.)
I couldn't imagine having a small family. But, we did space ours out a bit, which allows for more sanity. (10, 6, 3, and our newly adopted addition is 7).
