School's In Session

Well - school has started over here and Mom's busy again!!! Some moms look forward to school starting and their house gets quieter - mine just gets busier!! We homeschool and, don't get me wrong, I LOVE it (most days!!) but it does make for a much busier time for us - especially Mom!! So - if my posts are less frequent - don't give up on me - just bear with me!

We have a full school year this year with a 3rd, 4th, and 5th grader and a 2 year old! AND - all three boys on different hockey teams - IF we make it through this year - it will definately be by God's grace only!!!! :)

So enjoy the smile - enjoy the Fall-feel (even if only for today!) - and grab a good book and read for awhile - that's probably what we are doing over here!!

She is SO SO adorable, just want to squeeze her :)

Glad school has restarted, I take my hats off to all mom's who homeschool, I don't think I would have the discipline and patience to do it myself :)

Have a wonderful day Beck, oh and beta blogger is actually pretty neat, I'm enjoying it :)

Only thing I didn't do though was switch templates, otherwise i would loose the one I have on now. Other than that, it's got some new neat features :)

Hi, Becky! You left a comment on my blog quite a while back, asking if I knew of any good writing program....

(Sorry, I am so slow getting back to you.)

I am homeschooling a seventh grader and a kindergartener this year (the second grader is in public school). I have used Sonlight curriculum with my oldest daughter since she was in the fourth grade. She and I both absolutely love Sonlight curriculum. I don't have a specific writing curriculum though. Sonlight encorporates writing into their core curriculum, though. This year (for 7th grade) my daughter has a different writing assignment every week that corresponds with the book that she is assigned to be reading that week.

Sorry I don't know of any specific writing curriculum to recommend...but, I really like Sonlight...you might take a look at their core program.

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
