Wonder if we ever got that brown envelope. Seems vaguely familiar. One thing I know for sure--Keith has never made salsa. Can I put in an order for some and if you make it up here, what are the delivery charges???

That salsa looks so delicious! I just made some salsa last week with fresh tomatoes from the garden. There is nothing better than fresh salsa in the good ole summertime.
Congrats on getting your brown envelope. With the wait taking so long these days, any news is good news.

Hey, with the slow process, any small step is one to celebrate! The salsa looks yummy! You need to post his recipe!

Congratulations on the brown envelope! Even if it doesn't mean "anything", I'm sure it's great to have some communication. And I assume the salsa is made from home-grown veggies! I remember your garden in GR and how much time Joe spent on it!

Yummm! From your own garden?
And wow, we haven't gotten ours yet! Maybe it's coming...like you said it's ok if it doesn't, but it's still fun to get something from China.

I got the same envelope yesterday! I was so excited until I opened it and saw it was nothing too important. Oh well, maybe next time! The salsa looks wonderful! That's my favorite food in the world. Wish we lived closer!! HaHa

Salsa looks great! We make it too fresh from our little garden. Love it during the summer time!

I hope your husband enjoys the salsa! My mom made my dad eggs this morning and yesterday, and he is still in shock, however, my mom does cook dinner. But, you get the point!

I love your blog! Very Cute!

The recipe
6 roma tomatoes
4 jalapeno peppers
2 small yellow bell peppers, can add green or red if you like. I just had them so I added the yellow.
1 large onion
1/2 bunch of fresh cilantro just leaves, can add more if you like
juice from one lime
2 tsp garlic
1 tsp kosher salt (better than normal salt, doesn't leave a metal taste in the salsa)

this is not a hot salsa you can add more peppers or additional types if you want. It is best to let it set for a day but good luck we ate half of it before I could even put it in the fridge.

Congrats on the big brown envelope. It made us feel so official when we got ours. Like you said "It's not everyday that you get mail from China". The salsa looks YUM-O.

Salsa -- what a perfect dish for a spicy Hunan girl!! The other day we received our "new" I-171H after transferring our file from Detroit to Chicago -- an exciting day!! It makes it seem real again! :)

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
