Weekend

Yep, made it to Minneapolis for Chinese New Year - look out Keith and Verna - we may be coming over and staying for a week now!! We got here just fine but it's been snowing all day pretty steady and no sign of stopping yet - hmmm, that weather man may have been correct after all - now that's a first!!!

I lived in Minneapolis for one year. Great town! Stay warm and safe!

Amazing when you do not expect the weatherman to be right he is.
Still snowing here too. I am about to leave for work, so I hope the roads are open enough to get to work.
Be safe and I hope you can make it back home before spring.

Hang in there friend.
Tim has actually had to take Eli in to the local ER. He was acting fine yesterday but last night started screaming and crying and rubbing his left ear saying owee. I saw some drainage this morning, so I know that he has an ear infection. This has been just been a nightmare. We called our pediatrician explaining we were caught in a snowstorm outside of Chicago, they refused to prescribe anything and told us to take him out into the storm to the hospital. Nuts! He fell asleep and now Tim is taking him to the hospital at 8am.
Hope you all are doing better.

Hi Beckey,
Thanks for the info concerning "How to communicate with family back home"
I really appreciate it! I will probably have more questions for you as we get closer.

Take care,
Lori

I grew up in a suburb right outside of Minneapolis! I only go back in the summer. :)

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
