Shrek Addict

I think I posted before that Chloe is a Shrek-lover - well this was our "uplifting" conversation yesterday.

Chloe: "Mommy, I Pwincess (Princess) FEEEEEEONA (Fiona - she stretches it on FOREVER!!!)
Me: "Oh, you are right, you are a princess. So who am I?"

Chloe: a split second later - "Mommy, You Donkey!!!"

Gotta Love that Girl!!!

We are huge Shrek lovers here also, but Emily thinks that Fiona and the princess are two different people, so Emily is Fiona and I am the princess. Daddy gets to be Shrek, while Jeremiah is Donkey and Elijah is Puss. You just gotta love their imaginations !!!! Oh, in case you are taking votes yet on names for the next Bilby - I vote Lydia ... Doesn't that meet all the criteria ???

Well, you could certainly do worse Beck.
I LOVE donkey.

Lily does NOT like Shrek. Weird, eh?

That's too funny! Caroline is Princess Fiona too! No Mulan or Belle for her (my two favorites-beauty AND brains). Nooo, she has to go for the chick can belch with the best of them and whose singing voice causes a bird to explode! Ah, my delicate flower.

I haven't been labeled as the donkey, though. :)

I love it! My Spicy Girl loves to assign roles. I can't get her to watch Shrek, or really anything with an ogre looking or monster character. She scares soooo easily. So, she is Strawberry Shortcake, and I'm usually Angel Cake or Crepe Suzette.

Too funny. I had to de-lurk on this one! My little one said she was Belle and I am the Beast.

Found you through Double Happiness. Our LID for dd#2 is Oct 9, 2006. We're in this for while this time.

Feeling better already guys - if you all can be the beast, etc. then I can be donkey!! By the way Mommy Spice - at least you aren't the purple pieman - isn't that the bad guy?!?!?!? :)

Dear Donkey......just kidding.
I loved that little story. I would have loved to have seen your face when that little line was delivered.LOL

Yes, you would have wanted to see my face - it was a "is she being mean or nice" face?!?!? Then I thought - she's two - and she LIKES donkey!!! So that's what I'll stick with!!

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
