Our Weekend

Well - we are home safe and sound - driving out Friday night was HORRIBLE we stopped counting at over 25 cars in the ditch - we hit a huge ice storm - in fact, we heard the next day that I-29 had been declared shut down - while we were out driving on it - yes, we attest that it was horrible!!!

So, we made it - watched 6+ hockey games - yes, got up for two games at 5:30 AM to be there by 6:30 (see me smiling - NOT!!!) - but we had lots of fun!!! We even got some shopping in - Chloe had a gift certificate from Christmas to use at Build a Bear Worshop - we wondered how she would do - she LOVED it - mind you, this is not something she can become addicted to - we'd be broke!!! Here are some pics from Build A Bear - thought Grandma might like to see these - thank you Grandma - she had so much fun and loves Hopper, the name for her new bunny!!!

Giving Hopper a Bath....

There she is - our fashionable Hopper!!

Looks like a great time. I have been wanting to take Jazzie to Build-a-Bear forever. I see a special Mommy-Jazzie Day coming up!

Wow, 6 hockey games and an ice storm! Glad you're home safe and sound. My son LOVES Build-a-Bear and yes, it's so expensive we don't go very often!

Glad you made it thru the storm (sounds like our trip a couple weeks ago...so I feel your pain.)

Hopper is adorable!
Great job, Chloe!

Hopper is quite dapper!!
I'm glad that you all made it ok on Friday night. That's when we headed out to Kansas and it was a horrible night.
We're on a hockey reprieve since Zach is in Louisiana and we are in Kansas City.
Hang in there!!

What a cute bunny she made. We love Build A bear and all the snail mail that Lily gets from there just gets her so excited.

Glad you made it home safely. It's cold here too.....45 yesterday morning. Nearly froze to death. :)

I'm glad that you made it home safely. I was out with my friend Brittany Phillips last night. She was talking about her son's hockey games. You two should talk. It sounds like you have a lot in common.

Before Greg went to Iraq last year we took Hannah to Build -a-Bear. We got her a bear that Greg put a message in for her. I would always play it when I was putting her to bed. It was a good way for her to hear and remember his voice. I think that it helped her to remember him when he came back.

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
