If You Give Becky a Hair Dryer....

If you give Becky a hairdryer, she will start to dry her hair and then realize she needs her cup of coffee. (One CAN NOT dry one's hair without coffee!) Once she gets her cup of coffee, she sees that the coffee filters are almost gone so she needs to add that to the grocery list. Seeing the grocery list posted on the fridge reminds her that she has not cleaned off all of the notes on the fridge lately NOR has she worked on cleaning off the top of the fridge. So, she begins the task of organizing and pitching notes on the fridge and washing the top off. Once she wipes the top of the fridge off, she takes the washcloth down to the basement to wash and see LOADS of laundry that need to be switched, washed, folded, etc. and begins to make her way through those. Seeing the laundry reminds her that she hasn't gone through the girls clothes in awhile to see what fits so she proceeds to sort through drawers and closets to clean out clothes to take to the consignment shop. Sorting through clothes reminds Becky that the girls never got their hair brushed this morning, so she takes the girls into the bathroom to style their hair and sees the VERY smudgey glasses that are surely not helping her girls see!! As she is washing glasses for two girls, she sees her hairdryer and remembers that she was going to dry her hair. 3 hours later she thinks is it finally time to dry her hair and then she remembers she REALLY needs coffee to dry her hair. SEE WHY I DON'T GET MY HAIR DRIED UNTIL NOON!?!?!?!?
(If this resembles If You Give a Mouse a Cookie at all - it is purely coincidental.)

Ok You crack me up. SO TRUE So true.
I'm going to read this to a MOPS group that I am getting ready to speak to. I'm discussing practical tips for keeping a strong marriage while having preschoolers. (I know LOL) - this so describes our days as mamas. ;0) Thanks for giving me something to talk about & yes, I'll give you credit.

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
