BLIZZARD #3

I promise - after this - I won't show any more!! But we went out today after being stuck (basically) since Wednesday (many of our roads are still blown shut around here and we saw some roads where people still can not get out) SO here's what we saw:
This drift was as tall as our car - they had to dig through to let cars through.

Outside Dad's work - This drift is the one you saw on a previous post outside Joe's window!!

Out front of our house - look at those drifts!!

Oh yes, our political commentary here - Joe wanted me to mention that Al Gore and his global warming theory is taking a hit right now - at least 10 inches of snow two weekends in a row (that's a record for us the weatherman said), the biggest blizzard since 1975, and below normal temps since January - Joe is smiling!!! :)

And these are in town folks think of the rural areas.I have not seen a storm like this since 1975.and most of you were knee high to a grass hopper back then.

I LOVE the pics. I have some from our ordeal as well. As for the political comment...perhaps he should do more reading. :)http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2007/s2798.htm

Hey Joel - I'm thinking you need to start a blog over there!!! We need to see pics!!! AND you can offer rebuttals to Joe's political comments - I maybe should tell him NO MORE political comments on my blog!!! :)

Yeah...Jodie is wanting to start one in order to keep people up-to-date with our going's on. As for the political stuff..not putting his comments on might save you some heat off your backside! :) LOL

I can't even imagine that!! Those of us way down here in Texas would not even know what to do. However, we have had a much colder winter as well...I'll leave it at that.

I had to chuckle at your Al Gore comment. You should have heard Scott ranting after the Oscars (I had no desire to watch).

I don't really know what I would do with all of that snow. I could make lots of snow cream. I haven't had that in a few years. Yummy!!!

OH! I love the pictued of the snow-covered tree! That is simply beautiful. Don't apologize for sharing this lovely photo. :)

When you are harvesting your crops and forget to bring in a bundle of grain from your field, don't go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigners, orphans and widows. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all you do.
