Salvaging things out of the basement....
The girls found a yo-yo - it was a hit!
Believe it or not - we DID work!
It is truly amazing to see these giant trees totally uprooted....
And to stand inside the house and look up and out....
A Little Work Break....
We decked out in floppy hats, sunscreen, work clothes, masks, and work gloves - we were READY!!
Not kidding when I say it was HOT - oh my!!! We went through LOTS of water and Gatorade!
The girls and I went to clean a house that a lady is moving into - her home was totally destroyed in the tornado - nothing left. We enjoyed cleaning in the air conditioning!! BUT when we got done, we headed over to see the men -
Jada by some of the rubble....
There are really no words for the destruction out here - and this is 6 weeks later. We are humbled at the power of God shown through a storm - humbled at the attitude of these people who have been left with nothing - and humbled at the willingness of people to give to help others around them.
